The Britannia Inn – Llanmadoc
The Britannia Inn, Llanmadoc, is a late 17th Century Inn whose lounge beams are reputed to be from shipwrecks which were “lanterned” ashore by wreckers for their valuable cargo. A traditional bar menu with an extensive specials board is complemented by a restaurant which serves locally sourced Gower Salt Marsh Lamb and Selwyn’s seaweed.
A great range of beers and the recipient of several dining awards - including Best Pub in Wales, 2025 National Pub & Bar Awards - The Britannia also has a pub garden where dogs are welcome.
Plough & Harrow – Murton
The Plough & Harrow, Murton, has held an AA rosette for culinary excellence for the last 7 years, reflecting its consistently excellent menu that changes throughout the seasons. The restaurant and lounge bar are both great locations to enjoy the food and be sure to look out for their midweek specials!
The Kings Head – Llangennith
The King’s Head Inn, Llangennith, is a row of three 17th century cottages knocked together to create a 4* inn that serves a wide range of food throughout the day.
A breakfast menu is available until 10.30am and food is served throughout the day from midday with a fantastic selection of constantly-changing specials. Part of the bar is dog-friendly and even has a dog menu with canine ice-cream!
The King Arthur – Reynoldston
The King Arthur, Reynoldston, with its exposed beams, nautical artifacts and a roaring open fire is brimming with over 150 years of character and history. Located on the village green it has one of the most picturesque beer gardens around, especially when the hanging baskets of the pub are in full bloom.
A stylish restaurant and two bars combine with the garden to offer a variety of options for eating and drinking with an extensive menu starting with breakfast and running through to evening dinner and a long specials board.
The Beach House – Oxwich
The Beach House, Oxwich, was once a coal house and converted by Chef Hywel Griffith in 2016 to create what has become the Gower’s first Michelin starred restaurant with a menu that showcases the full flavour of produce from across Wales and right here on our doorstep.
The Gower Inn – Parkmill
The Gower Inn, Parkmill, has a dog friendly lounge and bar that serve food all day from 12pm and has a large beer garden for sitting outside.
Under new management, The Gower Inn is winning new customers for its reimagined food offering with game pie, venison, pheasant and fresh fish all appearing on it's ever-changing specials board.
The Ship Inn – Port Eynon
The Ship Inn, Port Eynon, is a family run pub with a distinctly cosy and nautical theme. This most dog friendly of pubs has two bars, a lounge and plenty of outside seating where food is served throughout the day. Make sure you check out the fish counter as it showcases a variety of fresh fish and includes those caught by the landlord – Captain Knox!
The View – Rhosilli
The View, Rhossili, continues to grow its reputation for locally sourced, innovative dining. Whether a casual visitor seeking exceptional coffee and homemade cakes, or perhaps interested in menus centered around local ingredients, or looking for an extensive gluten-free and vegan offerings, The View covers a lot of bases very well.
Open for breakfast and lunch or just coffee and a cake, this dog friendly venue has one of the best views from the bar and kitchen (with log burner) and outside terrace. Don’t forget to check out the small gift shop and ice-cream parlour at the front of the cottage!
The Beaufort Arms – Kittle
The Beaufort Arms, Kittle, has that classic pub feel and serves classic pub fare with special dining offers throughout the week. Dog friendly with a beer garden and kids play area for when the weather is great and a cozy log fire in the bar for colder days..
The Joiners Arms – Bishopston
The Joiners Arms, Bishopston, is an 18th century pub that offers traditional bar food with a Caribbean twist. A good atmosphere is always guaranteed, and dogs are welcome inside and out.
The Valley - Bishopston
The Valley, Bishopston, has been recently refurbished and serves a great Sunday roast. There’s a beer garden to the rear and some seats at the front of the pub that catch the setting sun in summer and dogs are welcome.
The Worms Head - Rhossili
The Worms Head Hotel, Rhossili, is a family run hotel with stunning views of Rhossili Bay and the Worms Head.
Unfortunately, due to a recent fire, the whole establishment is undergoing an extensive rebuild.
The Estuary- Penclawdd
The Estuary, Penclawdd, is a bar with a fantastic menu serving Brunch, Lunch and Tapas daily, a Sunday Lunch option and a good range of Gower Brewed beer.
It also has a GG’s Gelato Parlour on site for that post-walk treat!
The Rake & Riddle – Penclawdd
The Rake & Riddle, Penclawdd, has based its name on the cockle industry, a local delicacy that they also have on their menu! A family friendly place that welcomes sandy feet and wet hair, so whether you’ve been for a countryside walk or spent the afternoon surfing, they’d love for you to join them.
The premises now offers '3 in 1' with a wider range of food and drink options.
Cattle & Co. is a smokehouse and saloon that specialises in slow-cooked meats, grill house favourites and burgers.
The Welsh House & Salvatore's Pizza is an independent regional restaurant and bar whose pizza's are handcrafted and made with fresh, locally sourced ingredients.
The Southgate - Southgate
The Southgate, Southgate, uses local ingredients wherever possible and has a range of pub classics and Gower ales for the hungry and thirsty! Dogs on a lead are welcome in the bar.
