"What a beautiful place this little gem is with amazing views of the countryside. Southgate and Pennard were lovely places to walk and spend some time with lots of amenities. We had pizza at Pobbles Pizza sitting on a bench looking out to sea which was delicious! Jon was an excellent host and gave us some good places to go! With a 12 year old and a 15 year old it worked really well and we enjoyed every moment of our holiday.

Lovely welcome package too which we all enjoyed.

We also made good use of the body boards for the many beaches we went to (Rhossili was our favourite) and I can not recommend the Gower enough to anyone who hasn't been!"

"Wow, what a fabulous holiday we have just had at Whitebridge Cottage, Port Eynon. I can honestly say the best place I have stayed. We were there as a three generation family and it was ideal for every one of us. My two grandchildren (5 & 3) loved the toys left for them to play with. My daughter and son in law were taking ideas for their new kitchen (it was that good and so well equipped). I loved both the house and the outdoor space, yes we were very lucky with glorious weather but to sit outside for breakfast and coffee in a quiet and not overlooked area was so nice for me. The beach was a four minute walk away at mine and my granddaughter’s pace! The pubs were even closer. But no noise could be heard from either. The beds are so comfy and the mattresses, well, they were just the best. Everything and I mean everything was spotless. So many extra touches. And what do I say about the owners, especially Deb! I didn’t feel for one minute that I was booking a holiday let. From the moment my daughter spotted the cottage I felt like I was chatting to a good friend. Nothing was too much trouble, nothing was a problem. Deb just approached it as if she had friends staying not six holiday makers she had never met. The email giving info, the video explaining how to get in, the messages to make sure all was ok, as I say Deb goes above and beyond. Yes we’ve had a welcome tray at other places but have I ever had a handwritten note addressed to us personally and asking for us to let her know we had arrived safely? No. This along with all the other little extras made this holiday so special. Will we go back and stay again? You bet, I honestly did not want to leave and will definitely be returning as soon as we can. Thank you Deb, you deserve more than 5 stars."

"We had a lovely three night stay at Deb’s place. The cottage was gorgeous, very well equipped and as beautiful as in the photos. It’s in a lovely little village with a gorgeous sandy beach only 5 mins walk away, which was perfect with little ones. There was a little shop on the beach which we used to top up a few bits after stopping at a big shop on the way. We enjoyed the local fish and chips and had a couple of really gorgeous days on the beach. Deb was a fantastic host, friendly, helpful and easy to contact. "This was our third visit to the cottage and definitely won’t be our last!

The cottage is extremely spacious and ideal for family gatherings and celebrations. It is always well maintained and very well stocked, you don’t have to worry about the essentials as they are all provided. There was a lovely welcome card and gifts on our arrival not just for us but for our dogs who loved their treats. There was an abundance of towels for all guests including the basket full for the dogs to dry them off after the beach.

I can’t praise the thoughtfulness of the owners enough as there are lots of games, books and even beach toys for younger guests.

Enough about the cottage itself, the peace and tranquility of its location is what brings us back again and again. Short walk to the beach, local pub, fish and chips on the beach front, endless coast line to admire. There are coastal walks in either direction we chose to hike to Oxwich bay and managed to catch the bus back after a hard earned ice cream. We would also recommend Ty Sawna on Oxwich bay, plenty of like minded people enjoying the sauna on the beach overlooking the sea and cooling off in the freezing sea."

"Debbie and Dean have made Whitebridge Cottage very welcoming and comfortable. Their communication was excellent and their understanding of what it takes to make a short break truly wonderful is evident. The cottage has all the facilities you could ask for and is so well maintained and clean. Very welcoming for our dogs and the extra touches were very appreciated e.g dog towels, treats, bowls. Kitchen area is a highlight and we spent hours in there socialising and playing board games.

On previous winter cottage breaks we have found the properties to be a bit chilly but Whitebridge Cottage is so cosy all day long. We did not need to light the log burner at all.

Garden area and parking are secure for dogs and /or children and what a treat to be able to walk to the beach in less than 5 minutes.

We’ve just returned from the most wonderful long weekend in a beautiful cottage in Port Eynon, Swansea and I can honestly say it was the best Airbnb experience we’ve ever had. We had four generations of our family staying together — from our youngest at 4 years old to our eldest at 83 and the cottage suited every single one of us perfectly. From the moment we arrived, our hosts were incredible. Nothing was too much trouble, and their warm, attentive approach made us feel instantly at home. The house was equipped with absolutely everything we could possibly need… including plenty of toilet rolls, despite me telling everyone to bring their own! The weather was kind to us, which meant we enjoyed two lovely walks along the beach — such a treat for all ages."

"The cottage is well equipped and well maintained. We stayed for three nights to attend a family wedding and this was an ideal base. Lots of space for six people and warm. Kept well informed by the hosts and felt that if there were problems they would sort it out. (there were no problems though). Big kitchen with lots of crockery, microwave, coffee machine, dishwasher, toaster- could not think of anything else we needed. "I've been visiting Port Eynon for over 25 years, how I have never come across this gem, I do not know. My friend and I decided, last minute to book somewhere to go away for our birthdays, I'm thankful that where I would usually stay wasn't an option. Everything about Whitebridge Cottage was perfect. The cottage was immaculate, beautifully decorated and the best equipped holiday home I have stayed in, the attention to detail was perfect, even down to towels for the dog. The rooms were spacious, the kitchen was a dream to prepare and enjoy our meals. There is a lovely outside area that is fenced in so there was no need to worry about the dog. The beach is a few minutes away, there are a couple of pubs / restaurants, again minutes away from the Cottage. We enjoyed our stay and will certainly be booking again for 2026. I highly recommend this Cottage, whether you are travelling with children, elderly parents or with friends."

Because of family circumstances we haven’t been able to return until this year. Nothing had changed in respect of how clean and immaculate the cottage was/ is. "We had a great time staying on Hael Farm on the beautiful Gower peninsula! Hael Farm is at the end of a track so was quiet and had a countryside feel. We could see the cows in the adjoining field, and hear the sheep and birds. We met Jon and he made suggestions like eating at the local Golf Club which had good food, and ideas for local walks. Jon also passed in beans and apples which he had grown in his garden. There was a shop within walking distance (or park nearby). We also got ice creams from the same place on a couple of occasions. We also had take away pizzas from nearby (make sure you order before). We went to a number of the local beaches that had lovely sand, like Caswell Bay & Oxwich Bay. Be aware of the narrow roads when travelling around the Gower. We did a number of walks along the coast directly from the property (some of the tracks are quite steep). Jon was able to provide a cot, high chair & stair gate for our granddaughter. A great holiday!"

"The holiday home is situated in a secluded part of the Gower peninsula, away from any of the roads, which in the holiday season can be busy at times. Pwll du, a secluded beach, can be reached after a delightful 25-minute-walk through Bishopston Valley. The holiday home is cleverly laid out in a kind of 'upside down' way, with the bedrooms and bathroom on the ground floor and a large kitchen/living room area with all the necessary amenities on the first floor. In the summer you can open the large windows and overlook the adjacent fields and woodland from an elevated position and feel as if you lived directly in the middle of nature. Jon and Julie are absolutely wonderful hosts, who live in the adjacent main farm building. The holiday home is quite separate though. That is really ideal, as in case of any questions or issues you can just walk over and get assistance immediately."

My mum was impressed there was a slow cooker and lots of kitchen equipment. My husband loved the beer you left which was soon gone after a long drive. He loved it that much that we had a visit to the brewery to bring some home! Even the dog has his own towels and treats left for him - he was also very happy.

The communication with Deb & Dean was excellent and nothing was any trouble at all. They answered any questions I had and always there if we needed them.

Joes ice cream is a must to try. The Ship Inn had amazing food and not even a 2 minute walk away. We also had Sunday lunch at the King Arthur pub which was very yummy.

Beaches are fab and lots of lovely walks around.

It was our first time to the Gower and won't be our last.

Can highly recommend staying at Whitebridge Cottage and if you have the sunshine like we were lucky to have it will be amazing !

"We stayed a week at Ivy Cottage. We were three generations, aged from 79 to 5. Everyone had a great time and we’d happily go back. The cottages are perfect for larger groups with oodles of space - loads of bathrooms, endless hot water, 2 kitchens, 2 sitting rooms etc. We loved the fact the cottages were so well equipped. We did a lot of cooking and found pretty much everything you’d expect to need at home. The cottages were spotlessly clean, the communication with Debbie and Dean was excellent throughout and the cottages were brilliantly located. You really are 2 minutes walk from the beach, little cafes etc. We went to both pubs in the village too. All in all, a fantastic location for exploring the Gower and we hope to go back."

"A beautiful cottage just a stone’s throw from the beach. The cottage is spotlessly clean, modern, stylish and very well-appointed. The kitchen/diner is spacious, modern and the best equipped one I’ve ever stayed in. The welcome tray had lovely, locally sourced items and a hand-written welcome card. The beds are comfortable and the linen crisp and clean. The added touches of dog towels, dog biscuits etc were really appreciated. The owner is absolutely lovely and this is the second time that we’ve stayed in one of her properties. I can only highly recommend Whitebridge Cottage as I cannot think of a single negative point."

"12 stayed at the Ivy Cottage; aged 16 to 81 plus 1 dog. The cottages were ideal, very accommodating, spotless and lacked nothing. Endless hot water, even with 12 showering at the same time. The downstairs bedroom with ensuite was ideal for the 80 plus, and the second cottage lounge was ideal for the16 and 18 year old who needed to revise for forthcoming exams. The location was ideal, near the beach and opposite the ship inn with good meals. Tesco delivery was a boom and helped transport food. Would highly recommend this property and love to return."

The cottage was well equipped with everything we needed in the kitchen, nice and warm with the option of lighting a log burner, plenty of logs provided. It was immaculately clean throughout, plenty of bathrooms as there are 2 ensuites too. The pub is just opposite and there is easy access to the beach from the back door. The garden was neat and tidy ,we spent sometime enjoying the sunshine out there, would be ideal for BBQ's but not good enough weather during our visit. Debbie was very helpful during the booking process and kept in touch during our stay in case we had any queries. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to return sometime soon."

Gorgeous little welcome hamper which was very much appreciated. We truly loved it. Local village amenities included smashing village shop and cafe which served a lovely breakfast. "This is a wonderful place to stay! It was immaculately clean. Superb location. Easy parking for 5 cars. Great for a large group of mixed ages because you can spread out without sounds carrying. So people can sleep in without being disturbed or in evening people can chat and laugh without the kids being woken up. Kitchens are well equipped and easy to unload into. The pub opposite was convenient and welcoming with very good food. Beach is very short walk away lots of toys available. Safe garden to play in. We had a wonderful weekend. The amenities and layout were amazing and the cottage was very homely. Later on Jon popped round to ensure we had settled in ok and was extremely friendly. The walks and surrounding areas are beautiful and the local cafe is stocked up to the brim with the best cakes! Recommend the cinnamon cake. The local shop is so convenient and has everything you need for your stay. We hope to return again at some point and would certainly recommend this to others. Its also really well situated, a few minutes from the sea and lots of beautiful walks but not too far from Swansea. We chatted to Deb and Dean a few times and they were really friendly and helpful. The food at The Ship is also amazing! We will definitely be back!"

"Port Eynon Beach Cottage was extremely well presented, clean and well equipped. Deb was a friendly, responsive, welcoming host. She provided clear instructions enabling us to easily find and access the property and there was an excellent information pack in the cottage which suggested things to do locally and several walking routes to try. We also appreciated the welcome tray of local produce. The beds were very comfortable, the showers were excellent and the general living areas were spacious and comfortable. We enjoyed sitting on the private terrace in the sun. The property is in a great location for walking to the beach and along the coastal path. We booked ourselves a gin tasting at The Gower Gin Company which was in walking distance and also enjoyed a couple of meals in The Ship. Deb did pre warn us about the lack of mobile phone reception in the village (only one of the five of us had a signal). Reception was patchy across the Gower so it is an ideal place to get away from it all."
