Situated just 200m from Port Eynon’s Blue Flag beach, Whitebridge Cottage is perfect for a beach holiday or as a base to explore everything the Gower Peninsula has to offer.
The cottage can accommodate up to 6 guests. All bedrooms are on the first floor and include a master bedroom with a superking bed and ensuite bathroom; a family bathroom with a bath/shower serves a double bedroom and a twin bedroom with 2 single beds.
Downstairs, an entrance hallway gives access to the cloakroom and WC, living room and kitchen. The fully integrated kitchen includes an induction hob, double oven, microwave, full-sized fridge freezer, dishwasher, Nespresso machine, dining table seating 6 and an adjacent utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer. French doors give access to the outside area which provides a paved area running along the entire back of the house with two seating areas, perfect for alfresco dining, as well as an adjacent grassed area, all of which is fully enclosed for those who don’t leave home without the dog!
The lounge is a well-proportioned space and benefits from a smart TV, relaxing sofas, a log burner, and a set of French doors also leading out into the rear garden.
Private parking is available for 2 vehicles.
Port Eynon’s village amenities are within 100 metres of the cottage and include The Ship Inn and Smugglers Beach Bar & Kitchen which open all year round, whilst The Beach House Surf & Coffee Shop, two fish and chip shops and a gift shop open seasonally.
Port Eynon and Horton beaches are flanked by undulating sand dunes. To the west is the popular walk to the Salt House ruins and over the cliff from there – for the more adventurous – is Culver Hole, a 13th-century dovecote and smugglers’ cave. The beaches can also be your gateway to the Gower and Wales Coastal Path which can take you to Oxwich if you head east and Rhossili if you head west.
For those wishing to explore all the Gower Peninsula has to offer, there are castles, golf courses, nature reserves, outdoor pursuits, and a wide choice of food destinations with The Mumbles offering gift shops, a seafront promenade, Ferris wheel (seasonal) and eateries throughout the year.
The cottage is let on a Friday-to-Friday basis during school holidays, whilst stays of a shorter duration are welcomed outside these dates.
