Ivy Cottage is approached via a gravel driveway and is the entirety of the cottage in front of you with parking for five vehicles.

The cottage has two entrance doors and keys for each can be found in a lockbox beside the front doors. Codes will be given prior to your stay.

Access via the left-hand entrance (Oxwich View Cottage) is gained through the door of the UPVC porch over the flat flag stone patio. The entrance is sufficiently low to allow wheelchair access. There is a small step up into the kitchen and a higher step into the cloakroom toilet. The kitchen leads through to the living area on a level floor.

Stairs in the corner of the kitchen lead to the first-floor bedrooms (one with ensuite) and family bathroom. This cottage is not suitable for guests who have difficulty in climbing stairs.

The private patio and the garden/ barbecue area can be accessed via the side gate from the parking area or one of the two pairs of french doors from the kitchen and living area, both of which have a small step down onto a flat patio.

Access via the right-hand entrance (Port Eynon Beach Cottage) is sufficiently low to allow wheelchair access and one ensuite bedroom is located on the ground floor just off the dining area. Once through the dining area and the kitchen, there is a step up into the lounge.

Stairs in the corner of the lounge lead to the first-floor bedrooms (one with ensuite) and family bathroom.

A small patio area with table and chairs can be accessed via the lounge that also leads to one of the garden/barbecue areas. The other garden can be accessed via a gate from the driveway.

From Ivy Cottage you can use the gate that can be found through the door from the lounge that gives you a more direct route to the beach.

"Debbie was extremely helpful and was really good in ensuring that we had all the equipment we needed eg. additional high chairs and cots. The property itself was amazing with plenty of bathrooms and the additional touches were really lovely and much appreciated. The house also came with games to entertain the children both inside and outside of the property, the location was great as it was close to the beach and local pubs/restaurants. "We loved staying at Ivy Cottage during the Easter break. We were an extended family of 3 children, 8 adults (cousins, parents, grandparents). From the start, communication before and during the stay with Deb (the owner) was fantastic. The whole house was well fitted out to a high standard. Plus it was warm and clean and great for a large group. As it is technically two cottages adjoined, it actually worked well for a large group as we ended up using one kitchen/dining room for breakfast, and the larger one for evening meals and socialising together. It was so well equipped, everything we needed for cooking and serving large meals, great storage, lovely bathrooms, easy to sweep sand off the floor, handy to have an accessible garden and only a few steps from the beach and fish and chip shops! We really appreciated the generous welcome hampers and many towels. We loved Ivy Cottage as a base for exploring Gower including a short drive to Rhossili, Three Cliffs Bay, and the Mumbles - and walks along Port Eynon beach, of course, and even to Oxwich Bay. Ivy Cottage is in a brilliant location, with parking space on the drive for at least 5 cars and two large, enclosed gardens. The beach and The Ship Inn are close to hand, and Three Cliffs Bay and Rhossili Beach are within easy reach. The accommodation is very comfortable, sparkling clean and extremely well equipped. The welcome packs of treats were generous - and delicious - and you'll certainly never be cold here, with controllable central heating and log burners. Most importantly, though, you'll have a friendly host, Debbie, who answers every query promptly and really cares about your comfort. "14 of us stayed with a mixture of adults, children and baby and had a wonderful time. The house was fantastic with plenty of space for everyone. It was fully equipped and we made an early Christmas dinner and all sat around the tables together which was lovely. Location and area was perfect, not far from the beach and pub was just across the road.
