Situated just 150m from Port Eynon’s Blue Flag beach, Oxwich View Cottage is perfect for a beach holiday or as a base to explore everything the Gower Peninsula has to offer.

The holiday cottage can accommodate 4 adults, 2 children and is dog friendly. All bedrooms are on the first floor and include a master bedroom with king sized bed, ensuite, french doors, and Juliet balcony, one double room and one twin room with two singles (2'6" wide beds, adults also welcome!) that share a family bathroom.

Downstairs a porch (with access to a downstairs WC) for walking boots or buckets and spades leads into a fully equipped kitchen that includes an induction hob, microwave, full-sized fridge freezer, dishwasher, Nespresso machine and washer dryer.

The lounge has a smart TV, relaxing sofa’s, dining table and chairs, a log burner, and a set of french doors leading out into the garden which is grassed and has two paved seating areas.

The holiday cottage is dog friendly with a fully enclosed garden and tiled floors throughout the ground floor. We do request that your furry friends remain downstairs and off all furniture.

Private parking is available for 2 vehicles.

Port Eynon’s village amenities are within 100 meters of the cottage and include The Ship Inn and Smugglers Beach Bar & Kitchen which open all year round (both of which are dog friendly), whilst The Beach House Surf & Coffee Shop, two fish and chip shops and a gift shop open seasonally.

Port Eynon and Horton beaches are flanked by undulating sand dunes. To the west is the popular walk to the Salt House ruins and over the cliff from there – for the more adventurous – is Culver Hole, a 13th century Dovecote and Smugglers’ Cave. The beaches can also be your gateway to the Gower and Wales Coastal path which take you to Oxwich if you head east and Rhossili if you head west.

For those wishing to explore all the Gower Peninsula has to offer there are castles, golf courses, nature reserves, outdoor pursuits and a wide choice of food destinations, including the Mumbles and its gift shops, seafront promenade, Ferris Wheel (seasonal) and eateries offering something for everyone all year round.

The holiday cottage is let on a Saturday to Saturday basis during most school holidays, whilst stays of a shorter duration are welcomed outside these dates.

Oxwich View Cottage is approached via a gravel driveway and is the cottage to the left-hand side. Parking is provided for two cars and the cars should be drawn up to the end of the lawn parallel to the fence.

Keys to the property can be found in a lockbox beside the front door. Codes will be given prior to your stay. Access is gained through the door of the UPVC porch over the flat flag stone patio. The entrance is sufficiently low to allow wheelchair access. There is a small step (30mm) up into the kitchen and also into the cloakroom toilet. The kitchen leads through to the living area on a level floor.

Stairs in the corner of the kitchen lead to the first-floor bedrooms (one with ensuite) and family bathroom. This cottage is not suitable for guests who have difficulty in climbing stairs.

Access to the private patio and the garden/barbecue area are either via the side gate from the parking area or one of the two pairs of patio doors from the kitchen and living area.

"We were a family party of adults. The cottage was perfect for our stay with sufficient parking, an easy to use layout, comfy beds and a well equipped kitchen. We particularly appreciated the generous welcome tray. Debbie was great at giving us all the information required. We ate at the pub opposite and had fish and chips from the front. The weather wasn’t suitable for sitting on the beach, but was perfect for walks from our front door. We also had a fun hour gin tasting gin at the Gower Gin Distillery in the village. We would highly recommend this place - we had a great time."

"Excellent for what we wanted, 1 couple with a baby, 2 singles and 2 dogs, of which two rather boisterous, so the enclosed garden was excellent. Difficult to find anything that we would wish to improve in a lovely part of Wales, that we will come back to and explore more. Great walks along the cliffs & beach at Port Eynon. A good pub just across the road, The Ship Inn, with dog-friendly restaurant, and about ten minutes drive away, there is the excellent King Arthur Hotel with its village-green seating (which you would have to use if accompanied by dogs)."
