The Gower is not just an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, there are plenty of attractions & activities on offer for all the the family. All are easily accessible and in close proximity to our cottages.
January & February
The start of the year can be very quiet in the local community, particularly in Port Eynon. Part of January is often used to complete renovations for the forthcoming year, ensuring the cottages are "ready" for all our future guests.
It can also be a perfect time to visit to blow away the cobwebs. Shorter stays are welcomed during this period.
Regardless of the weather, our cottages offer a perfect retreat from it all, so don’t forget to book your stay.

Cycling in the Gower
A great way to see many of the beautiful sights in the Gower is to cycle. Cycling is very popular, but as you would expect, the Gower is not completely flat and you will come across some quite strenuous sections along the way, so be prepared!
There are a number of suggested cycle routes all around the Gower.
For routes and bike hire visit: Cycling - Swansea

Beaches in the Gower
You are spoilt for choice in the Gower when it comes to beaches, with scenic bays and interesting coves for you and the kids to explore. The south and west coasts of the Gower vary between sandy beaches and dramatic limestone cliffs, whilst on the northern side lies the Loughor Estuary, where several nature reserves can also be found.

March & April
By now the local community and campsites are getting ready to receive guests during the Easter holidays. You will find more places open for eating out, takeaways or topping up on supplies.
RNLI lifeguards return to our beaches – Langland, Caswell, Three Cliffs, Oxwich & Port Eynon.
Adders also come out to bask. I was lucky enough to capture this one at Worm’s Head. They really don’t want to bother you and, if they see you coming, will happily slide away. Not often seen, but they are around, so please take care when walking with children or dogs through long grass areas.
Golf in the Gower
Pennard Golf Club is the most scenic, yet challenging golf course on the Gower. It is rated not only as the 2nd best golf club in South Wales, but also among the top four in the whole of Wales. It is a stone’s throw away from our Hael Farm Cottage (approximately a 30-minute drive from our Port Eynon cottages).
Visitors are welcome, but pre-booking is essential. The club’s Pobbles Restaurant serves first-class food ranging from bar snacks to full dinner service.
