Three Cliffs Walk

No camera filters required today – just a beautiful walk in the first of the “Spring” sunshine.

We are going to call this walk The Three Cliffs Circular walk. Whether you start from the beginning like we did (close to Hael Farm Cottage) or from Three Cliffs itself (closer to our Port Eynon Cottages) it makes a great circular walk – approx 9km.

Today we walked from the National Trust Car Park in Southgate, walking across the top of the cliffs and dropping down onto Pobbles Bay – from here at low tide you have access to Pobbles, Three Cliffs, Little & Big Tor and Oxwich Bay as the sand stretches on and on!

Head across to Three Cliffs and then walking away from the coast, we crossed the stepping stones and climbed the short hill up to Three Cliffs Holiday Park where we stopped in their fab shop for a coffee.

From here we joined the Gower Pilgrimage trail down to Shepherds, walking through all the lovely wild garlic. Then back from Shepherds along the path following Pennard Pill valley with Pennard Castle above leading you directly back to Three Cliffs.

We then took a slightly easier walk up from Pobbles that lead us to Pennard Golf Club from which we could return to the car through the lovely village of Southgate.

We stopped at Three Cliffs Holiday Park, there’s also refreshments at Shepherds and on your return to Southgate.
