Gower is breathtakingly beautiful , but when the sun goes down, sometimes your soul aches for the warm atmosphere of a beautiful pub.
Thankfully, you’ll find plenty of pubs in the Gower area – here’s just a few of the ones we’ve fallen in love with over the years.
The Ship Inn, Port Eynon
Conveniently located for guests staying at Port Eynon Beach View Cottage, Ivy Cottage and Oxwich View Cottage, The Ship Inn is a beautiful traditional inn, not far from the stunning beach.
The Ship Inn is a pet-friendly, family run pub that provides a warm and welcoming environment, decorated in a cosy, nautical style. There is a wide choice of home cooked meals from £6.95 for light bites up to £15.95, with most main meals priced between £11-13 and a wide choice of steaks available up to £22.95 for a 10oz hand cut ribeye.

The King Arthur Hotel, Reynoldston
The King Arthur Hotel in Reynoldston has been named as one of the top ten pubs in the whole of the UK. The bar features original stone work, reclaimed timbers and real fires when it’s cold outside.
It’s also one of Gower’s most popular wedding venues – thanks to a beautiful setting and character in abundance.
Food is reasonably priced for the setting, and all home made. The bar and restaurant menus feature speciality cheese Ploughmans from £8.95, a wide choice of meals under £11.00, and a selection of Celtic Pride steaks.

The Gower Inn, Parkmill
The Gower Inn is a very popular pub that has a good reputation for pub grub – set in Parkmill, it’s very handy to combine with a trip to the Gower Heritage Centre.
We like the friendly service and very large outdoor area, but as with every pub in Gower, we recommend booking as this place can get very busy. It does have a great kids menu and they are showing the Six Nations games live. Visit the website: https://www.classicinns.co.uk/thegowerinnswansea
Kings Head, Llangennith
The Kings Head is a very popular pub with a strong following and as it’s been around since the 17th Century, it’s also got plenty of history, as well as local beers and high quality pub food made with fresh, seasonal ingredients. Set in surfer’s paradise, Llangennith, the pub boasts a clientele of all ages. Visit the website: https://kingsheadgower.co.uk/food-at-the-kings-head/
