Jon & Julie have lived at Hael Farm in Southgate for 30 years. They fell in love with the secluded location and the enchanting walk down the wooded alley and alongside the stream to Pwlldu Bay. Some 12 years ago they converted their annex into a 3 bed self-catering holiday let to allow visitors to share the superb location.
Jon then took on another wonderful building project in Port Eynon with the extension and renovation of Ivy Cottage, a charming fisherman’s cottage
For 10 years Jon & Julie have been successfully running the Hael Farm Cottages.
With passion they like to make every guest feel special, taking great care & pride in the presentation of their cottages.
Reaching some milestone birthdays! Jon & Julie are getting ready to share the responsibility and its time to welcome the John family. Debbie, Dean & Isabelle. Dean is originally from Southgate and after spending many years abroad is ready to settle with his family back in the heart of the Gower, moving to Bishopston to allow their daughter to attend secondary school and call the Gower her home. Looking forward to this new adventure the family will be taking on responsibility for the Port Eynon properties and looking forward to carrying on the good work set out by Jon & Julie and embracing their new adventure.
For those guests who regularly stay at Ivy Cottages year after year, don’t fear Jon & Julie aren’t disappearing and will always be around to say hi to old friends or share a pint in The Ship!
We look forward to seeing you soon,
John, Julie & Alfie
Deb, Dean & Isabelle
