Dog-friendly beaches: what changes on 1 May
Residents and visitors planning a leisurely stroll along a Swansea beach with their dog are being urged to check it is dog-friendly.
The annual by-law, which comes into force on 1 May and remains in place until October, restricts dogs to specific beaches in Swansea and Gower.

Signage is also in place along Swansea Bay and other Council beaches to make it easier for dog owners to know which part of the beach they are allowed on.
Other dog-friendly beaches not owned by the Council include Oxwich, Pwll Du, Pobbles, Three Cliffs Bay, Rhossili Bay and Llangennith.
